Background:

The challenge: A business attendance-solutions provider approached us to improve its organic visibility for competitive keywords. The challenge had two parts:

  1. Strong competition: The sector includes established competitors with mature websites and strong domain authority. Hebrew terms equivalent to "time clock", "attendance software" and "working-hours app" were highly competitive.
  2. Low starting rankings: Initially, the website ranked on later search-result pages for most relevant terms, limiting its organic reach.

The strategic approach: Competing in this sector required consistent, long-term SEO work. The strategy had several components:

  • Detailed keyword research: We identified relevant terms, combining broader keywords with long-tail queries that showed stronger conversion potential.
  • Useful content: We regularly developed articles on attendance management, business advice and comparisons between solutions. The aim was to build topical authority and attract relevant organic traffic.
  • Technical website improvements: We improved loading speed, mobile layouts and the sitemap, alongside other technical SEO work.
  • Internal and external linking: We strengthened internal links between pages and worked on obtaining external links from relevant, authoritative websites.
  • Monitoring and improvement: Regular monitoring of rankings, organic traffic and other metrics informed ongoing adjustments.

Recorded results as of March 2025: Following consistent SEO work, the case study recorded these results:

  • Improved keyword rankings: Hebrew queries equivalent to "time clock for a small business" and "working-hours app" reached Google's top 5 positions, as recorded in the ranking-history table. The small-business time-clock query improved from position 26 in March 2024 to 4.7 in March 2025.
  • Growth in organic traffic: The case study records an increase of several hundred percent in visits from search engines alongside the improved rankings.
  • More enquiries: Relevant organic traffic was accompanied by a substantial increase in website enquiries.
  • Stronger topical authority: The articles and supporting content helped establish the attendance-solutions brand's professional authority.

Conclusions: This case study illustrates the long-term nature of SEO. Consistent work on strategy, useful content, linking and technical foundations supported stronger rankings, relevant traffic and business enquiries in a competitive market.
